Since I’m failing spectacularly at long-term goals at the moment, what with my several thousand short-term goals that I’m working on, I’ve decided to give NaNoWriMo a go.
Why?
A conversation with an old friend in Melbourne this weekend just gone. She abused me for not finishing any of my WIPs. Then my husband jumped on the bandwagon.
I’ve never really kept current on what’s going on around me, I live in a little bit of a sheltered cave most days so while I’ve known about the concept of NaNoWriMo for years, I’ve never actually remembered that it’s happening until well after it’s too late to join.
I signed up today, as Kaiteesquiggle of course.

I just decided what I’ll write about yesterday. And it’s something totally different to what I normally write š
I am doing a totally new book. It is based on something I have wanted to do for a month or so but felt it didn’t fit with the other books I have written. The protagonist is male. It is a bit more sci-fi than my other books. I guess I just figured this was my chance to write it.
