I still haven’t managed to work my way through A Dance With Dragons yet, but I have been doing a lot of thinking and planning on my WIP.

I think I want to switch my main character, Darcy, with her best friend Valerie, as she’s far more suited to the kind of black humour that I’m trying to aim for. I’m just not sure if I should keep their names the same or not. The main character’s surname has to remain the same regardless.

Has anyone else gotten through a story and just not liked a character or liked another one so much you had to use them more?
